HUGE Casting News! Hugo Weaving to don the Red Skull!
Fanboys the world over are collectively crapping their pants right now! Marvel Studios has announced that Hugo Weaving, one of the best actors out there, has been cast as Captain America’s nemesis the Red Skull in the upcoming Captain America: First Avenger film. Weaving is best known for playing various “genre” roles such as: Elrond the High Elf “king” in the Lord of The Rings trilogy (and is expected to return for the Hobbit movies), Agent Smith in the Matrix trilogy, as well as V in the movie adaptation of Alan Moore’s comic, V for Vendetta. We can expect to see Captain America on the big screen in 2011.
